The best way to test
the system is to actually trip the system and let it communicate to our
monitoring station.
PLEASE PRINT THIS PAGE AND PUT IT IN A SAFE PLACE
STEP ONE:
CALL OUR CENTRAL STATION AT
(401)461-2204. TELL THE DISPATCHER THAT YOU WISH TO TEST YOUR SYSTEM.
PROVIDE THE DISPATCHER WITH THE ACCOUNT NUMBER AND PASSWORD WHICH YOU HAVE
PROVIDED US.
STEP TWO:
SET YOUR ALARM AS IF YOU WERE
LEAVING THE PREMISES. ONCE IT IS SET, OPEN ANY DOORS OR WINDOWS OR TRIP ANY
MOTION DETECTORS CONNECTED TO THE SYSTEM.
ALSO TEST ALL SMOKE DETECTORS. THE ZONES THAT HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED WILL
DISPLAY ON YOUR KEYPAD. IMPORTANT NOTE: YOUR
TELEPHONE LINE WILL BE USED TO TRANSMIT SIGNALS TO THE CENTRAL STATION AND
DURING THIS TEST IT WILL GO DEAD FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THIS IS NORMAL AND
IT WILL SOON RETURN TO NORMAL. IF YOUR DIAL TONE DOES NOT RETURN NOTIFY
MODERN SECURITY SYSTEMS IMMEDIATELY!
STEP THREE:
CALL (401)461-2204 AGAIN. TELL THE
DISPATCHER THAT YOU WOULD LIKE THE RESULTS OF YOUR SYSTEM TEST. ONCE
AGAIN YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER AND PASS CODE.
THE OPERATOR WILL THEN RECITE SEVERAL CONDITIONS i.e.:BURGLAY ZONE 1,2,3,
ETC. THESE ARE THE ALARM CODES THAT WERE RECEIVED. THE TEST IS COMPLETE AND
YOUR ALARM SYSTEM IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. TELL THE OPERATOR THAT YOU HAVE
FINISHED TESTING.
